The Flower Bowl is this week’s crochet project…
And it’s from yet another
super cute
Japanese crochet book.
I can’t help it…
Japanese crochet books are phenomenal…somehow they make the most basic
doily look sublime…
Kitsch dignified…
and pot holders… well…a must have!
This particular Japanese crochet book illustrates the many things you can do with one
Granny Square…
The list of things is extensive. There are patterns for
chair, table & floor mats…
bags, hats, scarves…
pin & sofa cushions…and…
pot holders!!
I have already tried my hand at one of the pin cushions,
so I thought I would give a bowl a whirl…
It was very easy…
I honestly don’t know why I didn’t take up crochet sooner.
Six decorated Granny Squares & base later…
You have one sweet little Crochet
Flower Bowl.

Absolutely gorgeous! I’ve just taken up crochet – not sure I can aspire to this yet, but I love those flowers.
Thank you Fiona…if you can crochet Granny Squares you will be able to do this flower bowl in no time.

Hi Nancy, thank you stopping by Sewing Daisies, it’s great to hear from you.
I got my Rico Creative Cotton (aran) from http://www.crafty-yarn.co.uk (I love Rico)
The other yarns I usually get from local suppliers in Sydney.
