SEW Hip! Mishiko Knitting Bag (issue 27)…
is going to be my next
SEW Hip!
sewing project.
I don’t knit
but that hasn’t stopped me from buying knitting needles in past,
so I might as well have a knitting bag too.
Such Fun!

Oh, my knitting stash keeps growing and I was only thinking the other night I need to make a bag. Looking forward to seeing your version.
lovely! let’s see what you got! 🙂
Pretty bag – looks very useful for either knitting or crochet “stuff”!
Wish I could help you with your granny square stitch gauge issues…I’ve noticed that if my work gets larger as I go, I have relaxed my stitches too much. Could that be it?
I saw your comment (on Cheri’s blog) about your granny square not coming out right. I did a post on how to get your piece to lay flat. Maybe that will help. If it doesn’t help, let me know and maybe I can figure it out for you.

…that could actually be it – Thank you Cheri!
oo thank Kristine, I will check it out now 🙂
Heidi,
My granny squares have never done this but I have heard the bigger they are the more likely they will start to have a “tilted” or “twisted” look to them. Try turning at the end of each round and working the opposite direction. I’ve heard it works. Would love to know for sure either way.

One can never have enough knitting accessories 🙂 Actually this would be great as an ‘anything’ bag. Look forward to seeing your take on it. Have a lovely weekend, Heidi. xx
oooo I might try that, Thank you Kristine!
