Getting to know you: Spring Flowers
Yesterday I bought
poppies & ranunculi
to use in today's craft post.
Today will not be about my craft project.
Really how come?
Because I need to 'get to know'
my camera.
Haven't you had your camera for a year?
Precisely, after a whole year I haven't
moved beyond using the same settings
I used on my old camera.
How slack of you.
I know!
So I spent a little time getting to know
my lovely Spring flowers.
So you have actually made something
for this week's post?
YES!
but I will post that next week,
giving me more time rejump my craft mojo…
and do some cleaning.
Will there be more "Getting to Know You"
or is today a one off?
Implying what exactly?
Nothing,
read any good books lately?
I have,
but I will keep that for another day…
just in case.
You really have lost your mojo!
There's more of my lovely Spring flowers
on my Flickr account.
(lost my mojo…grumble grumble)

It can be really difficult to work out all those different camera settings! Took me at least a year to venture off the programmed settings and make it onto manual – and now I can’t remember why I found it so difficult (OK – possibly because my hubby kept telling me it was easy!!).
Love your flower photos though!
Have you found this site yet? http://www.digital-photography-school.com/ Very helpful and you can post photos in their critique forums and get some really great advice on what to do differently.
I think your photography mojo is going brilliantly! Lovely photos, I’m the same my super dooper camera has millions of settings, I’m not sure what they do, I’ve tried different ones and have been able to see the difference……well sometimes!
Lovely flowers, I ventured off the auto setting of my camera yesterday too and found that I could take much better photos. I’m no expert or anything but it was fun to play around with settings. Lovely to hear from you even if it’s just about flowers, beautiful flowers a lovely colour burst for my morning.
Thank you all for your lovely support and advice. I think I just need to get on with it and see if I can’t learn some nerw tricks.
